Delicious steam table Chinese food in Reno. It's hard (for me at least) to find good Chinese takeout in Northern NV in general. If you look at my other reviews, you'll quickly find that I come from an area where there are small, hole-in-the-wall Chinese takeout places on every other street corner, and I love something about almost all of them. We tried Jias Wok (forgive me if I spelled it wrong) last time we were in Reno, and I wanted to vomit. I had completely given up hope until we went to the Meadowood, and there sat China Box. Walking up, it's the classic combo A(1), B(2) or C(3) with one, two or three items respectively. I ordered the Box 2, with half and half, Broccoli Beef and Mushroom Chicken. No drink, and my total was $13.52 after taxes. Something didn't quite sit right with me so I checked the receipt that was texted to me and found that they charge an additional 50¢ if you get half rice and half Chinese food. I didn't ask, but I'm almost positive it's not an up charge to get ONLY chow mein OR rice, so why would it be an extra 50¢. I don't want to complain too much about the price of my food lest I sound like I am 40 years older, but it does seem high for mall Chinese food (then again, they have trendy mall rents, and new wage/labor laws that just took effect). Besides, everything costs more, and they don't charge extra for soy sauce so hey. I took my box, my fork and my chopsticks and sat down in the food court and ate away. Everything had that classic taste too it. The noodles were a little thicker than I like, but still tasty. I will happily come back here next time I'm in Reno, and the time after that, and after that, and so on!

I ordered from there last night. The food was amazing! I will order again! We had beef and broccoli and schezwan beef and a side of hot and sour soup. Since it was delivered, I cannot give an accurate score on temperature. It was a bit cool (I delivered pizzas when I was in college). This restaurant is on my dine-in delivery places now. To quote Uncle Roger, "Fuiyoh!"

I'm truly impressed for a mall foodcourt, the courtesy and accommodation on the service part was splendid. The food was delicious. I can visualize the people making the food in the back were mom and pops Era with the amount of mastery in their craft. Packaging/presentation as well was well thought of. I normally get just a Styrofoam cups for the soup that spills everywhere when I order to go. This one stayed well in my 1 hour drive.

Service is everything and the service here isn't just great but the people running this stand are just awesome people. Great attitude. Food was coming out fresh. I got free samples of the shrimp. Egg rolls were ok. Not much with them. Steam bun was good. One was sitting on the warmer while the others were fresh steamed. The one that sat had a hard bottom. Who knows how long it sat for. The fresh one however was perfect. Lots of meat!the shrimp was awesome. Restaurant quality. This place has a lot of potential. Tweak some things and it would be top notch. I did not try any of the other menu items but I will be back!
